Celebrity taps new 'Escapes' only for adults

MIAMI -- Celebrity Cruises' new "Celebrity Escape" sailings will be reserved exclusively for adults ages 21 and over.

"The program is a direct result of listening to our guests, many of whom said they would like to experience a Celebrity vacation without children," senior vice president Ares Michaelides said.

Celebrity said the four Escape cruises will have the same service and entertainment as the line's other vacations.

The adults-only sailings include two seven-night, western Caribbean itineraries -- a cruise on the Mercury, departing Miami on Oct. 25, and a voyage on the Horizon, departing Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 17.

Longer vacations featured are an 11-night Caribbean voyage on the Millennium, departing Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Sept. 23; and a 10-night Hawaii cruise aboard the Infinity, departing Honolulu on Nov. 28.
