NEW YORK -- Ready, set, eat! The city's popular "Summer Restaurant
Week" promotion will take place June 24 to 28.
In its 11th season, this summer's program will include more than
160 restaurants offering prix-fixe, three-course lunches for
$20.02. The price does not include beverage, tax and gratuity.
The weeklong event will kick off with Restaurant Day on June 20,
when nearly 200 restaurants will offer tasting portions from tables
set outside their entrances at lunchtime.
Proceeds from the sale of the $3 to $5 tasting portions will go
to hunger-relief organizations.
Restaurants began accepting reservations for "Summer Restaurant
Week" on May 24.
Because of the program's popularity, customers are urged to make
reservations well in advance and reconfirm their reservations.
