Clarion resort debuts $10M renovation project

NASSAU, Bahamas -- The Clarion Resort South Ocean, formerly the South Ocean Beach and Golf Resort, will debut a $10 million renovation and refurbishment project on Dec. 23.

The property has remained open throughout the renovations.

Toronto-based RHK Capital Inc. owns the 228-room property as well as the British Colonial Hilton Hotel, both in Nassau.

The property features 30 suites; four restaurants; a par-72, 18-hole championship golf course; four tennis courts; two free-form swimming pools, and access to the Stuart Cove dive center.

The general manager, one of the Bahamas' only female general managers, is Eltha Deleveaux.

Winter rates, valid Jan. 4 through Feb. 15, are $135 for gardenview hotel accommodations and $190 for oceanfront hotel accommodations.

Suites are priced from $300 to $750 for the same time period.
