Club Med Cancun to host gay and lesbian tour

CANCUN, Mexico -- Club Med Village in Cancun will host gay and lesbian travelers exclusively on a tour arranged by Club RSVP from Nov. 3 to 10.

Cancun is becoming a popular destination for gays and lesbians, according to Club RSVP.

Club RSVP at Club Med will feature two outdoor restaurants and bars, a private disco, a swimming pool, aerobics, a weight room, tennis courts, sailing, snorkeling, beach volleyball, windsurfing and kayaking.

Golf and scuba are offered at an extra charge and can be featured as an outside excursion.

The package covers accommodations in air-conditioned rooms with a terrace or balcony, a room safe, a television, a telephone and a hair dryer.

Three meals daily, unlimited soft drinks, wine and beer with lunch and dinner also are included.

RSVP provides its own entertainment, a disc jockey, dance and theme parties.

Package prices include gratuities and start at $899 for a gardenview room and $1,099 for an oceanview room.

Prices are per person, based on double occupancy, with an additional charge for extra guests.

The resort is a beachside village located at the end of Cancun's hotel strip, which makes it convenient to the Yucatan Peninsula and central Cancun, according to the tour company.
