Contiki expands Africa program for 2000 and reduces rates

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- Contiki Tours has revamped its Africa program to offer tours at prices up to 50% lower than 1998 rates.

Targeting the 18- to 35-year-old traveler, Contiki's 1999-2000 Africa tour program offers packages ranging from game drives in national parks and wildlife reserves to sunset biking over desert dunes. Contiki recently partnered with Wilderness Safaris, one of the oldest tour organizations in Africa.

Their five new itineraries cover South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zanzibar and eastern Africa. Tours are available as land only or with round-trip air fare from New York or Miami. Tour dates are available for New Year's Eve 1999.
