Cruise West opens the books for 2000 reservations

SEATTLE -- Even before it mails its 2000 brochures, Cruise West has opened the books for reservations of its millennium year programs. Agents with clients who want to book now can use the 1999 Alaska Experience booklet as a guide, Cruise West president Richard West said.

"Our programs in 2000 will be little changed from 1999," he said. "Any travel agent who needs early confirmation of space for next year can simply use the 1999 brochure and call us for exact dates and prices."

While the brochure remains essentially the same, there is one new itinerary -- a five-night motorcoach/rail land tour option between Anchorage and Fairbanks through Denali National Park. The routing allows Cruise West guests a second night in the park. "Denali National Park continues to add services and attractions," West said.

"By allowing an extra night there, we are giving clients a chance to experience them. The change also allows a more leisurely pace."

The company's 2000 brochure will be distributed shortly. Agents who do not have one may call (800) 888-9378 for a copy.
