ROSEMONT, Ill. -- DER Travel Services, in cooperation with the
Eastern France Tourist Board, introduced ABC Passport to France, a
program that enables travel agents to earn their own France travel
package by booking similar programs for their clients.
The ABCs of the Eastern France regions are Alsace, Burgundy and
Champagne. Effective through Oct. 31, agents can accrue "passport
stamps" to eastern France by booking any ABC of France travel
package with DER; eight stamps entitle an agent to a complimentary
land-only France vacation from DER.
Agents will receive a passport-sized document containing
information about the regions and the rules of the program; spaces
are provided for the booking numbers for each package, which serve
as the passport stamps.
DER offers two ABCs of France packages, tailored to the
independent traveler. A seven-night program features two nights in
Reims (Champagne); two nights in Strasbourg and one night in
Mulhouse (Alsace), and two nights in Dijon (Burgundy). The package
is priced from $572 per person, double, and covers accommodations
with taxes, continental breakfast daily and a one-week Hertz
economy car rental.
A second eight-night option features two nights in Paris, two
nights in Reims, one night in Troyes (also in Champagne), two
nights in Dijon and a night in the Burgundy town of Auxerre. The
package cost is $597 and features accommodations with taxes and
continental breakfast; a one-week economy car rental, and a
three-day Paris Metro Pass.
