KOHALA -- Special rates and events are in place for the
reopening of Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows.
The hotel will hold its ninth annual Turtle Independence Day
(normally July 4) on Aug. 9.
Young Hawaiian green sea turtles, born in its saltwater ponds,

The hotel also will introduce golf specials for the reopening
and will hold its children's program from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30 ($25
per day, per child).
