Disney World joins ARC

WASHINGTON -- Walt Disney World of Lake Buena Vista, Fla., joined the Airlines Reporting Corp., enabling travel agents to use ARC's manual tour order to report and remit sales of five-, six- and seven-day multiple-park passes. It went into effect Jan. 25.

Agency commissions, taken up front, remain 5% for the five- or six-day pass but rise from 5% to 7.5% for the seven-day pass sold through ARC.

Separately, Walt Disney Attractions, also based in Lake Buena Vista, began selling its four North American product lines with an integrated sales force. Previously, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and the Walt Disney Travel Co. tour operation had different sales representatives.

Randy Garfield, senior vice president of sales and travel operations for Walt Disney Attractions and president of the Walt Disney Travel Co., heads the consolidated sales organization.
