Disney offers '100 Years of Magic' pass to Floridians

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Florida residents can now cash in on Walt Disney World's 15-month-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney's birth with the 100 Years of Magic annual pass.

Purchasers get 100 free days in honor of the festivities. Passes went on sale Oct. 5 at all four Disney theme parks in Orlando and Oct. 8 at other locations like Florida AAA offices and Disney Stores.

They must be purchased by Dec. 30; cost $289 for persons 10 or older and $246 for children 3 to 9; be redeemed at a ticket window by Dec. 30, and require proof of residency.

Floridians are also being given a $49 room rate through Feb. 13, 2002 at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and All-Star Music Resort. Black-out dates are Nov. 20 to 23 and Dec. 26 to 31.
