NEW YORK -- Walt Disney Studios, a 64-acre amusement park themed
around the motion picture industry, opened March 16 in
Marne-La-Vallee, France, adjacent to the Disneyland Resort Paris,
which celebrates its 10th anniversary on April 12.
The $535 million park features a stunt show, tram tour, 62 mph
roller coaster and special effects show based on the film
"Armageddon," among other attractions.
Officials expect the new park to boost total visitor attendance
at all Disneyland Paris attractions to between 16 million and 17
million per year, up from 12.2 million in 2001.
