Disney set to unveil 'Magic' act at Fla. parks

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Disney is set to launch its 100 Years of Magic celebration at its four Florida theme parks on Oct. 1, marking the 100th birthday of Walt Disney. The festivities will continue for 15 months.

The celebration features daily 30- to 50- minute parades at the four Orlando-area parks reflecting the 100 Years of Magic theme.

The Magic Kingdom has added eight snowglobe floats to its Share A Dream Come True parade. Themes include Mickey Through the Years; the Early Years of Walt Disney, and Adventures in Flight.

There are several other attractions and events planned, as well.

At Disney-MGM Studios, a multimedia tribute to Walt Disney called One Man's Dream takes a look at the man behind the empire, the events that inspired him and his achievements.

The walk-through exhibit takes aabout 15 minutes to complete and features audio interviews with Disney never before heard by the public.
