Dolly's latest venture a $20M splash

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. -- Visitors to the Dollywood theme park here can cool off this summer at the company's newest addition, Dolly's Splash Country.

The $20 million, approximately 25-acre water park debuted on May 19.

Dolly's Splash Country is the second theme park located near Dollywood in the Smoky Mountains of east Tennessee.

Each park has its own gated entry and parking area.

Attractions at the water park include a family mountain raft ride, a children's activity area, a lazy river, single and double tube slides, a 25,000-square-foot wave pool and a free-fall water slide.

Dolly's Splash Country also features food and beverage venues, a facility for changing clothes, plenty of benches and shaded areas in which to relax.

One-day admission tickets to Dolly's Splash Country are priced at $25.40 for adults, $19.90 for children ages 4 to 11 and seniors ages 60 and up.

Children ages 3 and under are admitted free.

Groups of 15 or more adults receive a discounted ticket of $22.10 each and $14.35 per child.

Combination passes for both parks are also available.
