Dolly's starting the Stampede

SURFERS PARADISE, Australia -- Singer Dolly Parton is exporting her country brand of entertainment to this beach resort in the form of a dinner show.

The Stampede at Surfers Paradise should open sometime next year.

Parton already has similar Stampede Dinner and Show attractions in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; Branson, Mo., and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The 100,000-square-foot facility in Surfers Paradise will feature dinner and an equestrian show in which entertainers will perform equestrian maneuvers in a quest to win the friendly rivalry between the city and the bush.
