Dragonair, JAL form flyer partnership

TOKYO -- Hong Kong's Dragonair and Japan Airlines formed a frequent flyer partnership effective June 1.

Under the pact, Dragonair passengers who are members of the JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) can earn and redeem mileage on Dragonair flights, and JMB members flying on JAL can use their accrued JAL miles for Dragonair tickets.

Dragonair serves 27 Asian destinations, including 17 in mainland China. The carrier inaugurated service to Hiroshima, Japan, in 1992 and Sendai, Japan, in 1993, and flies twice weekly between Hong Kong and Hiroshima and four times weekly on the Hong Kong-Sendai route.

The JAL Mileage Bank partners with all JAL Group airlines and with American Airlines, Air France, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Swissair.
