Renovations are to continue through October with the second and
final phase of the work set to take place next summer. Thus, work
will not occur during the peak season, a spokeswoman said.
The Eden Roc was originally designed and built in 1956 with its
design and architecture reflecting what some see as the heyday of
Miami Beach. The New York-based Blackacre Capital Group, in
partnership with Denver-based Destination Hotels & Resorts,
bought the property in April 1998.
