Enhancements made to cable-car service

NEW YORK -- The cable-car service that operates between Singapore's Mount Faber and Sentosa Island added two new features: glass-bottom cabins and dining service.

Riders traveling between the two points can get a better view as the glass-bottom cable-car cabins pass 230 feet above Keppel Harbor.

Tickets for the glass-bottom cabins cost approximately $9 for the 40-minute roundtrip ride.

The cable car operates from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

A second added feature to the service is dinner, which is being offered on select cable cars on Friday and Saturday evenings between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The cost is approximately $72 per couple.

Advance reservations are required, as reservations closes at 1 p.m. on dining days.

Clients can make reservations in Singapore by calling (65) 270-8655.
