Entertainment Center at Atlantis opens

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas -- Did someone say "Big"? In other words, Sun International's new Entertainment Center at Atlantis, Paradise Island is open for business.

The 100,000-square-foot facility houses the largest casino in the Caribbean, several restaurants and other entertainment options.

The Atlantis Casino offers more than 1,000 slot machines and 80 gaming tables.

Also part of the center is Five Twins, a restaurant equipped with a sushi bar and a cigar bar; the Atlantis Bar & Grill, a multimedia video cafe; Dragons, a bar and nightclub overlooking the property's lagoons, and Voyagers, a spot for coffee, drinks and snacks.

Bookings are being accepted for the Dec. 12 debut of the Royal Towers, a 1,202-room expansion.

Rates range from $230 per night to $5,000 for a two-bedroom royal suite. The 5,000-square-foot Bridge Suite, which offers a bird's-eye view of the entire resort, is a heart-stopping $25,000 per night.

Upon completion, the Atlantis facility will offer more than 2,300 guest rooms and 38 restaurants, bars and lounges.
