Firm sells charters in Solomons

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Live/Dive Pacific, which sells the Aggressor dive fleet worldwide, has new charters in the Solomon Islands.

The luxury yacht Solomon Aggressor will begin offering live-aboard dive charters July 4, following a refit.

Work on the 107-foot vessel will include new air conditioning, generators, a compressor, dive equipment, a hot tub and a larger sundeck cover.

Seven-day charters will be offered each week.

The vessel will be based at Koburutavia Lodge at Gizo in the Solomons July through December each year. January through June, it will be based at Truck Lagoon, where it will operate as the Truck Aggressor II.

Live/Dive said the arrangements enable divers to explore the best of the two sites during optimum weather conditions.

Solomon waters are best known for walls and drop-off as well as wrecks and marine life, while Truck offers diving amid 60 World War II wrecks, the company said.

The price -- $2,595 per person, double -- includes all meals and five-and-a-half days of diving.

The package includes two nights in a Honiara hotel, a tour of Honiara and transfers.

Live/Dive sells Aggressor's 11 destinations worldwide.
