Flight plans increase with south of the border service

MEXICO CITY -- Aeromexico said it will boost its Chicago-Mexico City service with nonstop morning flights from the Windy City starting Nov. 3, with SkyTeam partner Delta Air Lines adding its code to the flights.

"Chicago has been a key market for Aeromexico since we added it to our list of U.S. gateway cities in 2000," according to Rolf Hoehn, vice president of the U.S. Division of Aeromexico.

Aeromexico Flight 683 will depart Chicago at 9:15 a.m. and arrive in Mexico City at 1:30 p.m. every day except Thursday. Flight 682 will depart Mexico City at 3:50 p.m. and arrive in Chicago at 7:45 p.m. every day except Wednesday.

In addition, United Airlines will launch seasonal service between Denver, its second-largest hub, and Mexico City.

The nonstop service will operate on Saturdays from Dec. 14 through April 26 aboard an Airbus 319 with room for 124 passengers in two classes of service.

With the addition of the Denver service, United will serve Mexico City from all of its domestic hubs, including Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington (Dulles).
