Folklore takes 'Center' stage in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, Israel -- The International Convention Center Jerusalem opened its doors for events of special interest to tourists, according to the Israel Ministry of Tourism.

As a regular presentation at 9 p.m. on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays, the "Israeli Spirit Folklore Show" features song, dance and a six-minute, wide-screen aerial tour of Israel.

Upcoming events include the Miami Boys Choir, July 9 to 16, and the Jerusalem 2000 Stamp Exposition, Nov. 19 to 24.

The ICCJ's 3,500-seat Ussishkin Hall is home to the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and the Tel Aviv-based Israel Philharmonic Orchestra performs there frequently.
