SILVERTHORNE, Colo. -- Travel agents looking for a moderately priced property in Colorado's tony Summit County can take advantage of a winter sports special at the newly rebranded Four Points Hotel Sheraton Silverthorne.

The hotel, which became part of the Starwood brand last November, features 18 suites with lofts, 142 guest rooms, two restaurants, a cocktail lounge, a new fitness center, one of Summit County's largest indoor pools and an oversized spa that can accommodate up to 15 people.

"The hotel has a Colorado mountain lodge feeling," according to Stacy Trosch-Most, regional director of sales for Sunstone Hotels Properties Colorado, which owns the hotel.

Amenities notwithstanding, the property stands out from some of its pricier competition by targeting guests with moderate budgets, Trosch-Most said.

The package, which includes two nights' accommodations and three-day lift tickets at Arapahoe Basin, is commissionable at 15%.

Priced at $249, midweek, and $289, weekends, per person, double, the package is available through the ski season.

The emphasis on winter sports is a natural, Trosch-Most said, given the property's location near several Colorado ski resorts.

The resorts are Keystone, which is six miles away; Loveland, 11 miles; Arapahoe Basin, 11 miles; Copper, 11 miles; Vail Resorts, 32 miles, and Beaver Creek, 40 miles. Lift tickets at these resorts also are available for an additional cost.

Complimentary Summit County transportation is available from the hotel to all neighboring ski resorts.

"The ride is as short as 15 minutes and as long as 40 minutes," Trosch-Most said, noting that the resorts feature both downhill and cross-country skiing as well as snowboarding.

Also available nearby are snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice climbing, ice skating, year-round fly fishing at Lake Dillion and access to a state-of-the-art recreation and fitness center.

Children young enough to stay in their parents' room stay free, Trosch-Most said, and can take advantage of the oversized hot tub, indoor pool and new arcade room.

A children's menu is available at the recently renovated Old Chicago restaurant, which specializes in pizza and "good ski food," she said.

The resort features more than 4,000 square feet of meeting space, which is used to host corporate, government and association groups year-round.

The property is situated about 90 miles from the Denver Airport and about 40 miles from Vail's Eagle Airport.

The package is subject to availability.
