Four Seasons enters state with debut of Scottsdale property

SCOTTSDALE -- Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts unveiled a 210-room upscale resort here in December.

Recreational facilities, a spa and a high-end atmosphere are the distinguishing features of the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, the company's first Arizona property.

The resort is situated adjacent to two championship golf courses at Troon North Golf Club. Guests have priority use at both links as well as privileges at the Troon North clubhouse, which features a restaurant, a golf shop, group space and concierge services.

Additionally, the Troon North Academy of Golf offers comprehensive teaching facilities for golf enthusiasts.

Among the other recreational facilities at the property are a fitness center and exercise studio; four tennis courts, two of which are illuminated, and a 6,000-square-foot, two-level cascading swimming pool.

The resort's spa offers a full lineup of treatments, including facials, body scrubs, massages, manicures and pedicures.

The facility features 14 treatment rooms, two of which are equipped with a sauna, steam and whirlpool, and a beauty salon.

The property's 210 guest units, which include 22 suites, are located in two-story, casita-style buildings.

The suites include balconies with desert views; deep-soaking tubs; separate glass-enclosed showers; two-line speaker telephones; outlets for fax machines and personal computers; televisions with in-house movies, and a private bar.

Most of the suites also boast private plunge pools, outdoor showers and outdoor kiva fireplaces.

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North offers three restaurants and a private dining room for small groups.

Cuisine is a combination of contemporary Southwestern and light California touches.

The property also is equipped to handle groups with 24,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, including a ballroom and a variety of meeting rooms.

Set on 40 acres of desert land, the resort offers views of Pinnacle Peak and offers scenes of Phoenix from room terraces and balconies.

A Southwestern style dominates the architecture of the property, which is designed to blend with the surrounding environment.

Nightly rates at the resort start at $475. Through April 30, an introductory three-night Desert Paradise package is available, with a fourth night free. The package is priced at $459 per night.

The resort offers a number of other packages themed around golf, tennis, spa treatments and romance.
