Four Seasons set to debut in Budapest

BUDAPEST, Hungary -- The Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace is set to open its doors here later this year.

The 179-room hotel will be the chain's third in central and eastern Europe, after properties in Prague and the former eastern sector of Berlin.

Built in 1906, the art nouveau Gresham Palace sits on the Pest side of the Danube River, next to the Chain Bridge, with views of the Hungarian capital's Royal Palace and Fisherman's Bastion.

Renovation has preserved the hotel's historic character while adding 21st century infrastructure, according to officials.

The property will feature a restaurant, meetings and function rooms, a rooftop health club with full spa facilities, a pool and a fitness area.
