Free brochure identifies Israel spa options

NEW YORK -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism here published a full-color brochure on that country's spas.

The free pamphlet describes locations that offer pampering and/or curative treatments.

Spa locations often add mysticism, disco dancing, parasailing or archaeological excavations to expand the experience.

The brochure details each spa's location, accommodations, treatments, features and meals.

The spas listed are:

  • Mitzpe HaYamim, near the mystical city of Safed high in the hills of the Galilee, overlooking the Jordan River.
  • Tiberias Hot Springs Spa, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, near the city of Tiberias.
  • The Carmel Forest Spa Resort, in the mountains overlooking the Mediterranean, where no children or cell phones are permitted.
  • Herods Sheraton Resort Vitalis Spa, the country's newest health resort, adjoining Herods Palace in Eilat on the Red Sea.
  • The Crowne Plaza, Hyatt Regency, Caesar Premier, Ein Gedi Spa, Golden Tulip Privilege and Sheraton Moriah, all at the Dead Sea and using its mineral-rich waters and low altitude for curative and restorative programs.
  • To obtain a copy of the spa brochure, contact the InfoCenter at (888) 77-ISRAEL.
