GNTB extends chair's tenure

FRANKFURT, Germany -- The board of directors for the German National Tourist Board here extended the contract of GNTB chairman Ursula Schoercher by three years, through October 2003.

She has been in her current position since November 1995.

Erich Kaub, president of the board of directors, cited Schoercher and her staff for their "excellent work. The reputation of the GNTB continues to grow. The figures for domestic tourism as well as for incoming tourism are growing steadily," he said.
