BERLIN -- Add a touch of class to clients' Berlin itineraries this
year with tickets to exhibitions and concerts the German capital
has organized as part of its "Classical Berlin 2002" theme.
Billed as the world's largest antiquities show, "Greek
Classicism: Idea or Reality" opened at the Martin Gropius Building
this month for a run through June 2 that focuses on the
architecture, literature and artwork of 5th century B.C.
Musicwise, the annual Mozart Festival gets under way at the
Staatsoper May 18 to 26. Festival Days at Staatsoper Under den
Linden runs March 23 to April 28, and the Berliner Festwochen will
be held Sept. 1 to Nov. 15.
Meanwhile, Gendarmenmarkt square is the setting for Classic Open
Air music performances, July 4 to 9.
