Globus Schedules Tour To Maritime Provinces

LITTLETON, Colo. -- Globus will operate eight-night escorted tours to the Canadian Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island from mid-May through early October.

The tour travels to the provincial capitals of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and also explores Cape Breton Island and the Bay of Fundy.

Along the way, the program visits the settings of two famous literary works.

Highlights include a tour north from Halifax, the program's departure point, along Marine Drive to the restored 19th century lumber and mining town of Sherbrooke Village; a drive along the Cabot Trail into Cape Breton Highlands National Park; a river cruise from Charlottetown followed by a drive to North Rustico Harbour National Park, the setting for the Victorian novel "Anne of Green Gables"; Grand-Pre National Historic Park, the setting for Longfellow's poem "Evangeline"; the summer resort of Digby, and a whale-watching cruise on the Bay of Fundy.

The land-only price of the tour starts at $1,199 per person, double, and includes American breakfast daily and seven dinners (including a Charlottetown lobster feast), sightseeing, hotel tips, accommodations and local taxes.
