SAN FRANCISCO -- The Golden Gate Bridge's parking areas reopened
and its eastern sidewalk became accessible again to bicyclicsts and
pedestrians Monday, for the first time since Sept. 11, when access

daylight hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m and the western sidewalk will
The northern Vista Point parking lot is now open 24 hours a day,
seven days per week, but the southeast parking lot is open only
from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Bridge officials said the new policy will be in effect until
Nov. 30, at which point it will be reviewed.
