Gov.'s tourism conference set

CHERRY HILL -- The 2000 New Jersey Governor's Conference on Tourism is set for March 19 to 21 here at the Hilton Cherry Hill.

The event, with the theme Team New Jersey USA ... Forging Best Practices for the New Millennium, includes lunch and an exhibits marketplace consisting of state professionals representing destination marketing organizations, hotels, attractions, convention facilities, cultural organizations and services.

There also will be breakout sessions with the following topics: the AAA Diamond Rating Process; Generation Transitional Marketing, and So You Think You Need a Web Site? What Now!

Afternoon sessions include Essentials of Travel Packaging; Boomer Marketing for the Hospitality Industry, and E-Travel and the New Distribution System: How to Do Business in Today's On-Line Market.

The New Jersey Travel Industry Association, sponsors of the event, will hold installation ceremonies for its new president, Sylvia M. Veitia, who is vice president of corporate communications for AAA Central-West Jersey.
