Governor's Conference slated for Caesars

RENO, Nev. -- Talk about fast planning. No sooner did the 19th annual Governor's Conference on Tourism -- held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and the Atlantis Casino Resort -- wrap up in December than organizers revealed a few details of the next conference, which will be held this December.

It seems that the 20th annual Governor's Conference on Tourism will be playing the Palace -- Caesars Palace, that is -- Dec. 15 to 17.

The conference, which alternates between Las Vegas and Reno, is a gathering of the state's tourism and travel industry, complete with speakers, workshops and exhibits on industry issues, travel trends and marketing techniques.

The 2003 conference details and registration information will be available later this year from the Nevada Commission on Tourism, which produces the event.

To contact the commission, call (800) 237-0774 or (775) 687-4322.
