Gray Line departs on 'Showbiz Insiders' tours

NEW YORK -- Gray Line New York Sightseeing launched commissionable, behind-the-scenes tours of midtown theaters and television studios.

The Showbiz Insiders Tour, available through June 30, departs Mondays through Sundays at 8:30 a.m. from the visitor center at 777 Eighth Ave. (between 47th and 48th streets).

The program first visits the New Amsterdam Theatre, home to Disney's "The Lion King."

Passengers are then taken to Rockefeller Center for the NBC Studio Tour to view the set where NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw delivers the news and where "Saturday Night Live" is broadcast.

This is followed by lunch at Planet Hollywood before continuing to Radio City Music Hall to meet a Rockette for the Stage Door Tour.

Reservations are required. The eight-hour tour costs $89 for adults and children ages 5 to 11.
