Guggenheim Las Vegas closes

LAS VEGAS -- Just 15 months after opening, the Guggenheim Las Vegas closed last month -- but for how long is anyone's guess.

At this point, no one knows the future of the 63,700-square-foot space, said a spokesman for the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, where the museum is located.

Since it opened in 2001, the Guggenheim Las Vegas only has hosted one exhibit, "The Art of the Motorcycle."

The venue's closing does not affect the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum, also located at the Venetian.

That museum will host "Art Through the Ages: Masterpieces of Painting from Titian to Picasso" through March 2.
