Hawaii Kicks Off New Campaign

HONOLULU -- The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau kicked off its new advertising campaign.

Television commercials will air in eight cities, most running through May 30, and nationwide on cable channels.

The $4 million campaign will include an eight-page Hawaii insert in newspaper travel sections and Sunday magazines.

A 60-minute commercial, called We Are Hawaii and highlighting the state's cultural diversity, will be aired.

The ads will appear in prime time on network channels in Dallas; Denver; Portland, Ore.; Sacramento, Calif.; San Diego and San Francisco, and cable channels in New York and Chicago.
