HONOLULU -- A new Hawaii Value Pass being distributed to hotel
guests across the state will give them discounts at 1,200
businesses as well as free admission to 12 museums.
The pass, good through Jan. 31, is a project conceived by the
Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau.
The program includes activities, attractions, entertainment,
tours, restaurants, stores and transportation.
Businesses will have a poster in the window or some other sign
signifying their participation.
Visitors receive the pass when they check in at their hotel. The
HVCB said it hopes to distribute 1 million of the passes through
the end of January.
The following museums will offer free admission to those
carrying the pass:
• Honolulu Academy of Arts.
• Contemporary Museum.
• Hawaii Army Museum.
• Hawaii Mission Houses Museum.
• Bishop Museum at Kalia.
• Queen Emma Summer Palace.
• Kauai Museum.
• Grove Farm Homestead.
• Bailey House Museum.
• Lahaina Restoration Foundation.
• Lyman Museum.
• Hulihee Palace.
