Hickam AFB halts bids for travel account

Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii temporarily held up the bidding process for its travel account, saying it will revise the "performance work statement" and set a new schedule.

Hickam, which started the procurement last December, also said the winner's contract will begin on July 29 instead of May 29.

The account is held by Arlington, Va.-based SatoTravel under an expiring contract and is estimated at $7.5 million in official and $1.9 million in leisure travel.
