CANCUN, Mexico -- The Hilton Cancun Beach & Golf Resort is in the midst of a $10 million redo that's scheduled to be completed in December.

A major component of the renovation will be a "Mayan-inspired," 12,000-square-foot spa that will break ground next month. The spa will feature seven treatment rooms and offer beachside massage and yoga, among other options.

All 426 guest rooms and suites will be repainted with "Caribbean-inspired' colors and feature Mexican artwork and oversized furnishings. Standard rooms will receive 27-inch TVs, while suites will get 32-inch TVs and Jacuzzi bathtubs. All rooms will get laptop connections.

The resort is creating a 3,714-square-foot Presidential Suite with two bedrooms, a spacious living room, a pantry, a dining area and a terrace overlooking the golf course and the ocean.
