MEMPHIS -- Cooper Cos. here said the $25 million Hilton Naples
& Towers will open in December on 3.9 acres of land at 5111 N.
Tamiami Trail in Naples.
Pace Cooper, president and chief executive officer of Cooper
Cos., said, "The hotel is well on its way to completion." It will
offer 191 rooms and suites, 8,360 square feet of meeting space and
a unusual exterior architectural design.
The property will have the space and technological capabilities
that attract business people but also will offer the amenities
desired by vacationing families, he said.
The hotel is near beaches, golf and tennis courses, shopping and
restaurants. All rooms will have high-speed Internet access,
two-line phones, oversized desks and ergonomic desk chairs.
The 63 executive level suites and rooms will have their own
concierge and lounge with courtesy breakfast and snacks included.
The premium suites include separate living areas, a dining room
table and pull-out sofas.
The hotel is a short distance from the Waterside Shops,
Philharmonic Center and the Teddy Bear Museum. "This is a growing
area for travel and tourism -- the secret is out that Naples is one
of the most dynamic communities in all of Florida," Cooper
The Hilton, he said, "will match the needs, desires and
exceptional tastes that characterize the area."
Clark Hill, who was named the hotel's general manager, recently
ran the Holiday Inn Select at Fort Myers (Fla.) Airport.
Room rates were not available at press time.
