Hola, amigo: Madrid offers discount card

MADRID -- Spain's capital joined the growing ranks of European cities peddling discount visitor passes with the debut of the Madrid Card.

A one-day card, priced at about $30, offers five trips on public transit, entrance to 40 museums and other cultural spots, unlimited use of the Madrid Vision tour bus, a guided walking tour (on Saturdays only) and discounts at 42 shops, restaurants, nightclubs and car rental outlets.

Two-day cards cost about $45, and three days, $59 -- with 10 public transit trips.
