Hyatt to host ski lesson plan

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. -- Personalized ski instruction is part of a package available this December at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.

It is part of Technique Weeks -- Dec. 2 to 7; Dec. 8 to 13; and Dec. 15 to 20 -- in which participants take classes to improve timing, balance and ski technique through instruction and mountain video analysis.

The program was designed by World Cup skier and TV commentator Cory Carlson.

Each participant's progress is monitored as they learn new skills in small groups. At the end of the week, skiers take home a video of their skiing.

The rate is $1,700 per person, double, for the Dec. 2 package. The rate for the other sessions is $1,850.

The plan offers five nights' accommodations; daily breakfasts; four days of skiing and personalized instruction; lift tickets for four days; four dinners; use of health club facilities; apres-ski events and parties; and evaluation and videotape analysis of ski techniques.
