NEW YORK -- For the fall season, Issa Resorts launched an early-booking program for clients and a reward program for travel agents.

Issa owns and operates Couples Ocho Rios, Couples Negril and Swept Away Negril, all located in Jamaica.

The incentive program rewards agents by giving them $105 for every booking they make of five nights or more through Sept. 30.

The bonus is valid for travel through Dec. 22.

In order to receive the $105, agents must mail a copy of the booking invoice along with their business card to: Paul Pennicook, Issa Resorts, 7775 NW 48th St., Suite 150, Miami, Fla. 33166.

Retailers can make the booking either directly with Issa Resorts or with a tour operator.

Agents will receive the $105 bonus once their clients have traveled.

Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica. As part of its fall promotion, Issa unveiled an "aggressive early-booking program," according to Paul Pennicook, president and chief executive officer of Issa Resorts.

"For 2001, we have reintroduced what we consider an attractive early-booking bonus," he said.

"The earlier you book, the more you save," according to Pennicook.

The early-booking plan is available at the three resorts and valid for travel anytime in 2001.

Travelers can save $143 per couple, per night, at Couples Ocho Rios and Couples Negril for a savings of up to $1,001 for a seven-night stay.

At Swept Away, travelers can save $120 per person, per night, for a savings of up to $840 for a seven-night stay.

The bookings must be made by Sept. 28.

Pennicook said after Sept. 28, those early-booking savings will continue.

Travelers will save $707 for a week's stay at any of the three properties, the executive said.

An additional promotion that Issa is touting is its Take Five offer.

Travelers can save $555 per room on every five-night stay they take.

Package prices for a five-night stay, which includes the Take Five savings, start at $1,720 per couple.

The deal is valid for bookings made through Oct. 31 and for travel through Dec. 22.

The program is available at all three resorts.

Upcoming plans for Issa includes a party weekend for Couples Negril, which celebrates its third anniversary this fall, and an expansion at Swept Away, according to Pennicook.

The resort will add 150 veranda suites starting this fall.

The project is scheduled to completed by December 2001.

The executive said as Swept Away increases its room count, the resort also will add facilities, including another restaurant and pool and possibly a disco.

The 134-unit Swept Away is located on Seven-Mile Beach in Negril, and accommodations are in veranda suites.

Swept Away features a spa cuisine program, specialty months such as Tennis Month and Golf Month and meeting facilities for up to 120 people.

The 234-room Couples Negril also is located on Seven-Mile Beach, and each unit has a bay or garden view with balconies or patios.

The suites at Couples Negril feature separate sitting areas; an oversized bathroom with double sinks and a Jacuzzi tub for two; walk-in closets, and a wet bar that is stocked with rum, gin, vodka, soda, beer, wine and fruit juices.

The 212-room Couples Ocho Rios offers 11 one-bedroom oceanview suites and luxury villas with private courtyards.

Each guest room in the main hotel features an ocean, mountain or garden view.

Guest rooms at all three properties have air conditioning, a telephone, satellite television, a hair dryer and a wall safe.

Rates for the inclusive properties cover all meals, snacks, beverages, activities, off-site excursions, weddings, vow renewals and taxes and gratuities.
