Jamaica brings agents over for free

The Jamaica Tourist Board will send up to 2,000 travel agents from the U.S., Canada and the U.K. to Jamaica free of charge during a six-week period ending June 24.

As reported, the agent fly-ins are part of Jamaica's efforts to combat possible visitor fallout following the recent deadly islandwide protests over tax hikes.

In addition to free flights on Air Jamaica every Tuesday and Thursday through June 24, the tourist board is providing agents with two nights' hotel accommodations and island tours.
