Jamaica's tourism director to end term

NEW YORK -- Jamaica's director of tourism, Fay Pickersgill, is ending her term at the helm of the Jamaica Tourist Board after nine years.

Pickersgill, the longest serving director of tourism in Jamaica's history, said she will not be available for possible renewal of her contract, which expires in January. Pickersgill was appointed to the position in February 1994 and will take vacation leave starting Nov. 1.
