KD River Cruises sets annual Floating Wine Seminar

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- KD River Cruises of Europe here scheduled its annual Floating Wine Seminar on Germany's Rhine and Moselle rivers from Oct. 21 to 28 aboard the 102-passenger Heinrich Heine.

Clients will visit seven wine cellars and vineyards on shore for tastings. They will also attend on-board wine seminars and tastings given by Hans Ambrosi, co-founder of the German Wine Academy, and his assistant, Carl Koenen.

The cruise itinerary starts in Cologne, Germany, and stops in Cochem, Rudesheim, Mainz, Speyer and Breisach, Germany; Linz, Austria, and Strasbourg, France. From Breisach, passengers are transferred to Freiburg, Germany, or Basel, Switzerland.

Cruise fares range from $1,380 to $1,730 per person, double, for a cabin or $2,160 for a suite, including all aspects of the wine program.
