Korean opera targets tourists

SEOUL, South Korea -- The Korea National Tourism Organization, in cooperation with the National Theater of Korea, is presenting a traditional theater show for tourists through June 9.

The Wednesday shows include a concert program performed by more than 70 artists from the National Dance Company, the National Changguk (Korean opera) Company and the National Orchestra.

The event is held on central Seoul's Mount Namsan across from the Tower Hotel, with a free shuttle bus running from the Hyatt, Hilton, Novotel Ambassador and Shilla hotels.

Admission to the performance is $12.50 per person.
