Walt Disney World will offer free meals to guests under its discounted resort packages for late August through mid-September arrivals, the company said Wednesday.

The packages, which must be booked by June 24, will include the Disney Dining Plan -- normally $38.99 per day for adults and children age 10 and older -- offered at no additional charge.

Walt Disney World's newly appointed executive chef, Leonard DeGeorge said diners will be able to choose from some 20 different world cuisines at 100 restaurants for one table-service meal, one select snack and a quick-service meal each day.

The offer runs from Aug. 26 to Sept. 22 for five- and six-night packages with prices starting at $455 for adults, $223 for juniors and $184 per child.

The packages include theme park tickets, hotel accommodations and meals, normally at a per-diem rate. The free meal plan will save visitors about $194 per adult, the company said.
