Little Mermaid Re-Capitated

COPENHAGEN, Denmark -- Someone took her head on Jan. 6, but the Little Mermaid statue beside Copenhagen Harbor has it back in place.

A local television cameraman was arrested and charged with the dastardly decapitation.

Police said the suspect was the first person on the scene to film the headless statue after the crime was discovered.

The head was left in a box outside a local TV station three days after it disappeared.

The Little Mermaid, based on a character from a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, is Copenhagen's most popular tourist attraction.
