LAFAYETTE, La.--The Louisiana tourism Web site will host a live
interactive chat and audio broadcast with Louisiana's own Michael
Doucet of six-time Grammy nominated Beausoleil and Angelique Kidjo,
a Grammy nominated West African performer, on Friday, April 23,
1999 from 6-8pm (www.louisianatravel.com/chat).
Both musicians will be featured at the 13th annual Festival
International de Louisiane (fil.net-connect.net) which is a Francophone
visual and performing arts festival hosting a series of free
concerts in Lafayette, LA beginning April 20-25, 1999. This
festival is part of the statewide FrancoFÛte celebration,
commemorating Louisiana's variety of unique music influenced by
France, Canada and beyond.
Doucet and Beausoleil will perform at the festival from 8-9pm on
Saturday, April 24. Kidjo will close the evening's entertainment
with a show from 11pm to midnight.

interviews through Real Audio. Doucet and Kidjo will answer any
