ST. AUGUSTINE -- Marineland of Florida, a marine life attraction,
will complete a $400,000 renovation by June.
In addition to general maintenance, the project includes the
addition of ramps and access areas for the disabled.
Marineland of Florida features animal exhibits, including a
caiman pit, which houses the South American relative of the
alligator, and the Barnyard, a petting area where children can feed
goats, pigs and other farm animals.
There also are reptile exhibits, an emu habitat and a Tide Pool
Encounter, which demonstrates the diversity of marine creatures,
such as starfish and crabs.
The attraction is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
Rates are $14.95 for adults, $9.95 for guests ages 13 to 19 and
$7.95 for children ages 3 to 12.
