Marriott adds three hotels

WASHINGTON -- Marriott International added three TownePlace Suites properties to its portfolio, with new locations in Cary, N.C.; Dearborn, Mich., and Streetsboro, Ohio.

With the openings, the TownePlace Suites chain now has 88 properties.

The 95-suite Raleigh/Weston-Cary TownePlace Suites opened in Cary in mid-February. Owned and managed by Marriott, it is the first TownePlace Suites hotel in the vicinity of Raleigh-Durham and Chapel Hill.

The property is three miles from Raleigh-Durham Airport.

The hotel has studio and one- and two-bedroom suites. Amenities include furnished kitchens; separate living and sleeping areas, and two-line telephones with dataports and voice mail. The property has a pool, exercise room, laundry and on-site business services.

Another TownePlace Suites popped up in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn in early January. The franchised hotel is the third TownePlace Suites in the Detroit area.

It has 148 suites and is located 11 miles from Detroit Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Detroit.

The third TownePlace Suites debuted in suburban Cleveland in Streetsboro. The Cleveland-Streetsboro TownePlace Suites opened in late January.

The hotel has 72 suites and is the third TownePlace Suites in the Cleveland area. It is 25 miles from Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
